The first Mann Minute of 2022 coming to you from on the road! On Wednesday, January 5, my team and I hosted seven Mann Listening Tour meetings across seven counties in the Big First.
Visiting with my constituents, whom I’ve taken an oath to serve, is one of the greatest joys of my work as a member of Congress. As I met with Kansans in different counties, they all echoed the same issues. Kansans are rightly concerned with massive government spending and labor shortages, with President Biden's unconstitutional COVID-19 vaccine mandates, and with the implications of the future Farm Bill for our Kansas agricultural producers. I share their feelings of frustration. The new year marks new opportunities to champion our conservative values and support Kansas agriculture - and I will do so unwaveringly.

It was a special honor to visit with students from the Pawnee Heights High School senior government class and their teacher Jim Gardner at the Ellis County meeting in Hays.
I also met with many local leaders and government officials including Vice Mayor Mason Ruder, Hays City Commissioner Shaun Musil, Fort Hays State University President Tisa Mason, and former State Representative Travis Couture-Lovelady.

I enjoyed visiting with members of the Rooks County community, including County Commissioners John Ruda and Greg Balthazor.
A special thank you to the Plainville Library Director Brenda Frederking for her help and hospitality.

It was great seeing Kansas State Representative Ken Rahjes, Phillips County Health Systems CEO Rex Walk, and local community leader and banker Kent Colberston attended along with a number of Kansans from around the Phillips County area.

The fourth stop on the tour was in Norton County at the Heaton Building in Norton. I was pleased to see another senior government class, Mitch Pugh's class from Northern Valley High School in Almena!

I enjoyed talking with constituents in Decatur County at the Gateway Civic Center in Oberlin.
A special thank you to the community leaders, Sheriff Troy Haas, Undersheriff Damon Andrews, and County Commissioner Karen Larson for taking time out of their day to attend, and to City Administrator Halley Roberson for hosting the meeting.

My sixth stop was in Rawlins County at the Rawlins County Courthouse. The Atwood School Superintendent Eric Stoddard, Suzanna Karl with the Rawlins County Health Center, County Commissioner Mark Mosley, Atwood City Council Member Dakota Dunker, Sheriff Robbyn Hodgs, and Deputy Sheriff Michael Runkle joined us. Thank you for taking the time to attend and for your leadership in the community.

The final stop on the tour was in Cheyenne County at the Majestic Service Truck Stop & Restaurant in St. Francis.
I want to extend my appreciation to former State Representative Ward Cassidy and County Commission Chairman William Martinez for joining us, and to everyone who attended!
