Congressman DeSaulnier's "Cancer Moonshot Summit"
June 29 at John Muir Medical Center in Concord, open to all
My longtime friend and former colleague Congressman Mark DeSaulnier (CA-11) will host a Bay Area "Cancer Moonshot Summit" to focus on accelerating progress in cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.

As someone who himself is battling cancer, Congressman DeSaulnier's strength and courage in performing his public service is an inspiration.

This summit, and others like it across the country, will be held in conjunction with the first-of-its-kind national conference hosted by Vice President Joe Biden in Washington, D.C. The Vice President will participate in the summit by making remarks via video and conference call.

WHEN: Wednesday, June 29, 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
WHERE: John Muir Medical Center, Concord Conference Room, 2540 East Street, Concord (Main Entrance on Almond Ave.)

The National Cancer Moonshot Initiative, led by Vice President Biden, aims to make more therapies available to more patients, while improving our ability to prevent cancer and detect it at an early stage.
