A message to members from your new president...
Nikki Csek
It's spring, and that means a change at the top for the Kelowna Chamber Board of Directors.

I stepped into the President's chair as of April 3, and already have the reins firmly in my grip. Files I'm working on in my first two weeks include welcoming new directors at an orientation session April 11; sitting down with involved businesses, organizations, and the City around the implementation of Bill McKinnon's Public Safety Report; having conversations with all sides of the short term vs long term rental issues in Kelowna neighbourhoods; and getting ready for a strategic planning session for the new board that will help cement our directions in 2019 as we support our members and the business community.

I'm grateful for all the training for my new position that I've received over the past year as President-in-waiting: Past President Carmen Sparg was generous with her time, as were (and are) previous Presidents of the Chamber.

What I really want is to hear from the community and our members. I want to be connected. Whatever the issue, whatever I can do to move things along, I want to be there. I'm all about communications and connections. 2019: bring it on!
