40 years with the Kelowna Chamber for Omega Communications
Warren Saari, President and GM of Omega Communications
We recently stopped by Omega Communications to thank them for 40 years of membership and to get an update.

Warren Saari, President and GM of Omega Communications, gave us a tour and showed us SmartTalk, a two-way radio that operates over a secure, private channel and is actually legal to use while driving (cellphones are not of course).  He also mentioned plans to work with a ski resort to outfit groomers with GPS sensors so that skiers/snowboarders are alerted where to find the freshly groomed runs.

Thank you Warren and Omega for the hospitality. Here's to another 40 years!

Founded in 1976,  Omega Communications  started as a two-way radio shop with a focus on supporting the forestry industry. Since then, they've branched out into unique sectors and do a majority of their work for public safety agencies. Learn more about Omega Communications.

The Central Okanagan Economic Development Commission's Connector Program is a simple, effective referral/networking process that puts newcomers, returnees to the district, and post-secondary grads (or soon-to-graduate students) in touch with highly networked community individuals.

This program is especially helpful for those who follow their spouses and partners to Kelowna and who are looking for connections to help them establish a foothold in their own field/career. Check out the Connector Program website to learn more or contact Myrna Stark at
Watch for the next issue of ConneXions on June 6, 2019.
