Spring is officially here, which means it is time again to plan for performance evaluations to reflect on all the great work that has been accomplished by Departments and sections across the organization over the last fiscal year.

Earlier this month, HR hosted evaluation trainings to introduce employees to the newly rolled-out evaluation tool and to discuss best practices for completing your self-evaluations. This new tool was created in response to feedback from employees across the organization. It is intended to create a uniform evaluation to be applied equitably and consistently. The categories of the evaluation are based on the Guiding Principles of Valuing Diverse Perspectives, Communicate Openly, Be Proactive and Support Innovation.

As you go through the evaluation preparation process, I encourage everyone to think back to these important values and how you have applied them successfully in your respective roles over the past year.
