Spring is officially here, and fast approaching is the new fiscal year. A significant initiative for the upcoming fiscal year will be evaluating the City’s benefits package for our employees. Much like recent surveys pertaining to the City’s Performance Evaluation tool, you will find a survey requesting your feedback on employee benefits below. Your perspective is critical to us considering new policies and procedures.

You will soon be seeing a newly updated performance evaluation form for the new fiscal year in the coming months that was developed based on feedback you provided, and we hope that your feedback on benefits will be equally valuable in considering benefit options for the future. Thank you in advance for contributing to the process!

Also, a friendly reminder that the annual Employee Chili Cook-Off will be held on Saturday, April 29 at Northcroft Park. As always, it will be a fun and (mostly) friendly competition with many impressive chilis to try. I look forward to a chili-filled afternoon followed by lots of Tums!

Take care,

Jason

We value your feedback! You will find these pulse surveys throughout the year. The information will help inform organizational decisions.

The City is extending the expiration date of the 2022 COVID Vaccination Incentive Policy through 4/30/2023 to help support those impacted through the end of the typical winter flu season.

This policy is to encourage employees to get vaccinated, and support those who have breakthrough cases. If unused in 2022, up to 40 hours is available for those who qualify, if time off is needed for:

  • Getting the vaccine or booster
  • Side effects from the vaccine or booster
  • Breakthrough cases

Affected employees should coordinate with their Department and HR. Please reach out to Brina Diaz at diazb@cityoflakeforest.com
