Although this year's holiday party was a bit later than usual, it was truly a pleasure to see everyone who was able to attend. These gatherings are always a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our achievements over the past year, but more importantly, to honor our colleagues who have reached significant milestones in their tenure with the city. As I mentioned at the event, our city’s success is a direct result of your dedication and hard work—something that does not go unnoticed by our community and City Council.

As we turn the page to a new year, we are in the midst of preparing the upcoming fiscal year’s budget. I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to every department and team that has worked diligently to submit their budget requests. A special thank you to Director Holleb for her invaluable leadership in navigating much of the budget process thus far. Additionally, I want to recognize the entire Finance Department for their commitment to ensuring a smooth transition and keeping the budget process on track. This is a significant undertaking that requires months of planning, and your efforts are truly appreciated.

Regarding the recruitment for the Finance Director role, our city’s consultant will be presenting candidates to the City Manager’s office in the coming weeks, with interviews set to follow soon after. Our goal is to have a new Director selected by mid-March, ensuring a seamless transition into the new fiscal year.

Thank you all for your continued hard work and dedication. I look forward to a productive year ahead.
