Thanks to everyone who shared feedback via the poll and survey in last month’s email. Based on your responses on the holiday schedule options, the Christmas Eve holiday will be observed on Tuesday, December 26 this year. The 78 responses to the Performance Evaluation Survey will also help guide future decisions about updated evaluations. I hope you’ll continue to participate in these pulse surveys in the future because your perspective matters.
Last week I shared four Guiding Principles for the organization: value diverse perspectives, communicate openly, be proactive, and support innovation. It’s important to me that staff across all levels of the organization know that I value and support these concepts. My hope is that the principles will guide the way everyone at the City of Lake Forest works and how everyone interacts with and supports one another. You might be wondering what’s next for the principles. In the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing examples and stories to help make the concepts more concrete and attainable.
