Thank you for joining me at last month’s City Manager Conversation Sessions! For the last few years, I’ve been hosting these informal chats about every six months to stay connected and keep a pulse on what’s happening across the organization. I really appreciate the time to connect with everyone and hear what’s on your mind.

One great suggestion that came from these conversations was to create an internal staff directory with photos. I’m happy to share that the new Internal Staff Directory now includes photos and a short description of job responsibilities, making it easier to put names to faces, especially for those who are new to the organization or don’t cross paths often.

And just a reminder, if you have feedback or ideas you'd prefer to share privately, you can always use the anonymous feedback form. Your input is always valued.

🎉 Meet the Team, Anytime!

We’ve launched a brand-new Staff Directory on our internal site! Whether you’re looking to put a face to a name or just curious about who’s who, it’s now easier than ever to connect and collaborate. 🧑‍💼💬

☀️ July is UV Safety Month ☀️

Summer is here—remember to protect your skin and eyes from harmful UV rays. Whether you're working outdoors or enjoying time with friends and family, be sure to apply sunscreen, wear sunglasses, and use a hat for extra protection. The more exposure you have to the sun, the greater your risk of sun damage.

Quick Sun Safety Tips:

  • 🌞 Apply broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) every 2 hours—and after swimming or sweating
  • 🕶️ Wear sunglasses that block 100% of UVA and UVB rays
  • 👒 Choose wide-brimmed hats and lightweight, long-sleeved clothing
  • 🕒 Seek shade, especially between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. when the sun’s rays are strongest

For more information, visit the FDA’s Sun Safety page or the CDC’s UV Safety Tips.

Stay safe and enjoy the sunshine responsibly!
