Michael Major

Fire Department


Michael joins the Fire Department as a Firefighter, and is currently attending Paramedic School. Michael loves the gym, hockey and the Fire Service. He is excited to serve the City and honored to be a part of our Fire Department.

Gabriel Kurzynski

Fire Department


Gabe joins the Fire Department, as a Firefighter. He comes to the City with his Associates in Fire Science, and EMT-B. Gabe enjoys working out, reading and cooking, he is bilingual in English and Polish.

Delaney Ritsema

Innovation and Technology


Delaney returns to the City as a Business Systems Analyst in our IT Department. Delaney previously interned in our IT department and the City is happy to welcome her back. She brings a degree in Informational Technology and Web Development. Delaney enjoys traveling, baking, and reading.

Alex Kendzior

Public Works - Engineering


Alex joins the City as a Project Manager in the Engineering section. Alex has a degree in Civil Engineering, and previously worked for a civil engineering firm doing municipal work for various Lake and Cook County communities. Alex enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter along with running, biking, and walking.

Wendy Bering

Library


Wendy joins the Lake Forest Library as a Youth Services Librarian. In her free time she enjoys going on walks (especially with her black lab, Luna), visiting her two kids, and reading.

Ming Lu

Library


Ming joins the Lake Forest Library as a Media Lab Specialist. She is a recent graduate of Carnegie Mellon University and enjoys drawing, cooking and translating in her free time.

We would like to congratulate Karl Walldorf on his retirement after 30 years of service to the City. Thank you Karl for all your hard work and dedication throughout the years.
