With the warm weather we’ve been experiencing, it’s hard to believe the Holiday season is right around the corner. November is always a busy month for long-term capital planning, and this year is no exception. The City Council’s annual Capital Budget Workshop is next week and is the culmination of months of hard work involving every City department. We are wrapping-up another successful year of capital improvements, with an eye towards several transformative projects planned for next year that we’ll discuss further in the coming weeks.
We’re also finishing the City’s annual Open Enrollment process for health insurance benefits. We are proud to offer attractive benefits and I am confident that the plan options offered through our new provider will bring increased flexibility, ease of use and will better serve the overall needs of City staff and retirees based on your individual and family needs. Please make sure to finalize your selections before the open enrollment period closes this Friday, November 8th.
Finally, City Manager conversations are being scheduled for early next month. I always enjoy the opportunity to engage with all of you and to hear what’s on your mind. I look forward to seeing you all there!
