Ministry Announces More Supports for Children with Autism
On August 4th, the Ministry of Community, Children and Social Services announced that it will be providing families in the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) with services to support their child's ongoing learning and development. Foundational family services such as family and peer mentoring, caregiver workshops and coaching will be tailored to the unique regional and cultural needs in different communities.

Back to School Recommendations for Children
Holland Bloorview created a resource with tips for managing a safe return to school for children with disabilities, developmental and behavioral challenges and medical complexities. Through the consideration of factors including: transition planning, virus risk mitigation, environmental cleaning, busing and transportation, masking and staffing and resource support, a safe return to school is possible.

Summer Activities to Promote Therapy Goals for Kids
Want to see how therapists adapt and modify things around the house to target therapy goals? Our local team facilitators collaborated with therapy partners to create short videos on summer activities you can try at home. Activities will focus on the F-words for Child Development: Fun, Friends, Family, Fitness, Function and Future. Click below to see the videos on CTN's YouTube channel.
