JUNE 2022
Happy Pride from CTN!
Pride Month is a time to celebrate the LGBTQ2S+ communities, including employees, individuals within our network, the children, youth and families we serve, along with friends and family in our own personal lives. CTN is committed to creating a safe, welcoming and inclusive space, that reduces barriers and celebrates the diversity of all our unique and wonderful differences.
CTN Celebrates National Indigenous History Month
June is National Indigenous History Month! CTN will continue to focus on the importance of promoting reconciliation, inspiring action and working together with our network partners to remove systemic barriers faced by the Indigenous children, youth and families we serve.
Our network calendar features events hosted by CTN, our partner organizations and other local community agencies that may be of interest to your family. New workshops, programs and events are added each week.
CTN's Annual General Meeting (AGM) is on June 15th from
6 p.m. to 7 p.m. via Zoom. Join us to review the successes of the 2021-22 fiscal year and celebrate the future ahead! Registration is required. A follow-up email with the Zoom link and details will be sent after registration.
The CTN Equipment Loan Program has a new Family Guide that features information on all of recreation, therapy and speciality equipment available for families to borrow for up to 12 weeks. For our family guide and an inventory of all equipment, click the link below.
The CTN Equipment Loan Program (ELP) has recently purchased new swimming equipment just in time for summer! WaterWay Babies is a neck flotation device that allows children and youth with disabilities and developmental needs to participate in water activities. It is available in a variety of sizes through the ELP.
CTN supports children, youth and families by focusing on CanChild's framework of the F-words for Child Development. Every child with varying abilities has the right to have fun, enjoy friends, function as they are, access fitness, plan for their future and join in family activities.
