Family Day Contest
What are your plans on Family Day, February 15th? Will you be playing a new board game, tobogganing down the hill or staying in for a cozy movie night? Show and share your Family Day photo and you'll be entered to win 1 of 4 $25 Amazon gift cards. Send your family photo to info@ctnsy.ca by February 28th. Please note: By submitting your photo, you are giving CTN consent to share it publicly on CTN's social media channels and in our annual report. 


Equity-Based Health Promotion for Black Mothers of Children with Developmental Disabilities 
Hosted by Autism Ontario on February 10th at 12 p.m. - 1 p.m., speakers will share the findings of a qualitative study of the challenges and strengths of Black mothers of children with developmental disabilities and provide suggestions to improve diversity and inclusion within the places where we practice and receive care. 


Ministry Expanding Supports for the OAP
On February 3rd, the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS) announced that it is providing additional supports for families of children registered in the Ontario Autism Program (OAP). Starting in March, the province will be offering core clinical services (applied behaviour analysis, speech language pathology, occupational therapy and mental health supports) based on a child's individual needs. 


Calling all Siblings - Sibshops Starting February 16th
Beginning February 16th, we will be hosting Sibshop sessions for siblings to talk about what it's like to live with a brother or sister with a disability, play games and have fun. Space is still available, register now.

Friends: Enjoy Inclusive and Adapted Recreation Virtually 
Access to in-person recreation programs has been impacted by COVID restrictions in various communities, but some municipalities, private and public organizations are offering inclusive and adapted programs virtually. Kids of all abilities can make friends, learn new skills and have fun in programs like dance, art and music! Check out the events and programs available.
