NEWS
CP-Net Science and Family Day is October 23rd
CP-NET is hosting the 8th Annual Science and Family Day on October 23rd from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is an opportunity for families, clinicians and researchers to connect and share knowledge with each other. The goal is to empower children and youth with cerebral palsy (CP) and their families. Learn more about CP from world-renowned scientists and discover helpful CP resources, all for free! Save the Date: CTN Virtual Spooktacular Social
Halloween is just around the corner. Be sure to mark your calendars for CTN's virtual Halloween social on Thursday, October 28th from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Youth from grade 8 to the end of high school are invited to join in the fun. More details to come here.
New CTN Equipment Loan Program
Want to borrow equipment to try at home? CTN's new Equipment Loan Program provides access to specialized recreation, therapy and complex clinical equipment so children and youth with disabilities and developmental needs can participate with their family and friends at home and in the community. If your child is involved with an occupational therapist (OT) or physiotherapist (PT), speak to them first about which equipment would be most appropriate for your child. Halloween Tips and Tricks
As October 31st approaches, kids and parents are gearing up to find the perfect costume, decorate the house with spider webs, carve a pumpkin and buy candies to give to trick or treaters. Read a mom's ideas on letting go of expectations and letting the kids take the lead, click here to read more.
