Looking for Families to Share their Experiences with Hip Surveillance |
CTN is currently looking for families who have a child with or at risk for cerebral palsy, who would be open to having a 10-to-15 minute conversation about their experiences with Hip Surveillance. Your input will help CTN to enhance Hip Surveillance to ensure that clients are receiving adequate and frequent monitoring.

Recreation Opportunities through CTN's Equipment Loan Program | CTN's Equipment Loan Program (ELP) provides access to specialized recreation, therapy and complex clinical equipment so kids and youth with disabilities and developmental needs can participate with their family and friends at home and in the community. There is a range of equipment available to support fun and fitness this summer, such as adapted bikes, the Mobi-Chair® floating beach wheelchair, the GRIT Freedom Chair and more. | |

Fun in the Sun! Beach and Park Days this Summer |
Every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., join CTN’s Community and Family Coordinators and the new Child and Family Wellness Program Coordinators for a showcase of accessible parks. Explore each park and have fun with friends and family!
Remaining Beach and Park Days this summer:
- Riverdale Park (250 Fletcher Cres., New Tecumseth) - Aug. 14th
- Sunset Point Park (79 St. Lawrence St., Collingwood) - Aug. 21st
Drop by during a date/location! No registration is required. Snacks, drinks and activities will be available.

Try-it Golf at Orr Lake Golf Club in Elmvale |
On Aug. 14th, youth 12+ with disabilities and/or developmental needs can try golf at Orr Lake Golf Club in Elmvale!
This free event is part of our Simcoe County Summer Sport Series. The series creates opportunities for kids, youth and families to meet, develop relationships, have fun and try something new.

Youth Movie Night at Circle Theatre in Alliston |
Our final Simcoe County Summer Youth Series event is on Aug. 20th. Join us at 6:30 p.m. for a movie night at Circle Theatre in Alliston. Bring a friend or meet one there!
The Simcoe County Summer Youth Series explores different recreation opportunities for youth in Simcoe County.

Sibshop Hang at Crosby Park in Richmond Hill | On Aug. 21st, join CTN and YSSN at Crosby Park in Richmond Hill for a Sibshop hang at the park. Meet other siblings of kids with disabilities and developmental needs, enjoy an amazing outdoor setting, eat cool snacks and play lawn games! This is a non-structured event to allow sibs to connect socially before our formal Sibshops resume in the fall. It is open for siblings ages seven to 13 years old. | |
