NEWS
Your opinion is important and as we develop our new strategic plan, we want to hear from you.

This 10-minute survey is one of the engagement activities to give us the opportunity to better understand your experiences and perspectives on CTN and learn about the challenges and opportunities that might affect the work that we do and the services we provide over in the next few years.
Are you a student or do you know a student who received services at CTN or another Empowered Kids Ontario (EKO) member organization?

EKO is offering six scholarships of $2,500 each, including an exclusive award for self-identified Indigenous, First Nations and Metis students. Since 2011, EKO has supported kids with disabilities pursuing education and career goals. Applications close May 31st.
Once again, it is time to prepare annual tax returns. Returns must be filed by May 2nd to avoid any late penalties. Learn more about tax credits, deductions and tips related to people with disabilities.
WORKSHOPS, PROGRAMS AND EVENTS
Our network calendar features events hosted by CTN, our partner organizations and other local organizations that we thought may be of interest to your family. New workshops, programs and events are added each week.
STORIES
World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) is a global awareness day which has been officially observed by the United Nations since 2012. The date for WDSD being the 21st day of the 3rd month, was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome which causes Down syndrome. Patti and her son Joseph share their story and what this day means to them.
The Stab Fixe by Trivel can be borrowed for two weeks by families of children and youth who receive occupational therapy or physiotherapy services and live in Simcoe County or York Region. Speak to your child’s therapist for more information or email equipment@ctnsy.ca.
