Making Christmas Special for Head Start Families

St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Green Cove Springs was able to make Christmas special for the 48 children at the local Head Start program.

This program exists to support children of families with low incomes by providing comprehensive early learning in both center-based and home-based settings.
As part of their work, St. Mary's helped provide a special clothing outfit, shoes and a toy for every child involved in the program.

Additionally, they "adopted" four families and provided a complete Christmas for them, granting a $300 gift certificate, toys and clothing for both the parents and children. Head Start and members of the church also enjoyed a pizza party together!

Great work by the congregation at St. Mary's!
Angel Tree Gifts Donated

St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Jacksonville recently donated presents, toys and books to over 60 kids through its Angel Tree ministry.

We are so proud of this ministry's work bringing some Christmas magic to many children this year!
Advent Wreath Making
St. Paul's by-the-Sea in Jacksonville Beach kicked off the new church calendar year by making Advent wreaths!
Supporting Our Diocesan Partners after
Central U.S. Tornadoes
We are saddened and heartbroken to hear about the damage and devastation from the tornadoes that struck the central U.S. on Dec. 10-11.

Please join us in praying for the people impacted by the deadly tornadoes across Kentucky, Arkansas, Illinois, Missouri and Tennessee. If you feel led to do so, we encourage you to donate to any of the Dioceses or local churches, including the following in Kentucky who have reached out to us.

Happening at Camp Weed
Jan. 21-23, 2022
Happening is a weekend renewal retreat led by youth, for youth. Kids in grades 10-12 are invited to attend any of our three annual Happenings, and we invite 9th graders to join us for our spring Happening (typically held in April).

High school students put together an incredibly moving weekend filled with learning, sharing and building relationships. Through videos, skits, talks and more, candidates see how God and their faith fit in with the ups-and-downs of high school life.

Our next Happening is Jan. 21-23 at Camp Weed and registration is open until Jan. 12.
