The Rev. Cn. Aaron Smith Accepts New Role
Grace Episcopal Church in Orange Park is pleased to announce The Rev. Canon Aaron Smith has accepted the role of Priest in Charge beginning August 1, 2019.

“I am thrilled to be joining Grace Episcopal Church to further the mission Bishop Howard has set before us to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout our Diocese,” Canon Smith said. “My family and I look forward to beginning this new chapter and ask that you continually keep us in your prayers as we begin this journey.

In addition to this new role, Aaron will continue to serve as Canon for Evangelism and Growth in the Diocese of Florida. Aaron has served in this capacity since February 19, 2017.

“We are proud of Aaron for following God’s call in his life and look forward to seeing how God uses his talents at Grace Episcopal Church,” said Bishop John Howard. “I am excited to see how God will move in the lives of the congregation and pray they will become a shining example for evangelism and growth in our Diocese.”
A Weekend with Dr. Earl Palmer
The Bishop's Institute for Ministry and Leadership invites you to attend a weekend with distinguished author, preacher and scholar Earl Palmer as we study the book of Ephesians. The retreat takes place September 20-22 at Camp Weed and Cerveny Conference Center.
The topic for the weekend is: "EPHESIANS: A First Century Book for our 21 st Century"
The Rev. Dr. Earl Palmer is a distinguished preacher, writer, C.S. Lewis scholar and author of a number of commentaries on various books of the New Testament. He is currently President of the Earl Palmer Ministries, Seattle, Washington. He is a graduate and trustee of Princeton Theological College. Summers he spends in England where he leads residential conferences at The Kilns, the Oxford home of C.S. Lewis.
Ephesians has been rightly called 'The Queen of the Epistles'. This first century book is written from Rome (during imprisonment) to a group of people Paul knows well, having taught in Ephesus for at least three years. At its heart this letter is an affirmation of the transforming power of the love of God-its height, width, length and depth.
