In case you missed it, the Standing Committee recently presented the slate of candidates for our Bishop Coadjutor and the IXth Bishop of the Diocese of Florida.

While there is a predetermined list of clergy and delegates who will vote for our next bishop on May 14, all are welcome to attend upcoming meet-and-greets May 3-6 across the Diocese to get to know the candidates. Episcopal Chapel of the Incarnation Recap
On February 22, the Episcopal Chapel of the Incarnation held an evening full of wonderful music, student testimonials and a presentation casting the vision for continuing the work of the Gospel in the university community.

The Chapel of the Incarnation at University of Florida is growing! Many young people are coming to Christ, growing in their faith, and exploring their gifts as young leaders in the Episcopal Church. Send Out Your Light is an initiative to make people more aware of the vibrant ministry happening among the undergraduate and graduate population as well as to seek further investment in this crucial ministry.

Diocesan Staff Member Leigh Philips
On Wednesday, March 9, the Diocesan team celebrated Leigh Philip's retirement over a luncheon on the river porch at the Florida Yacht Club in Jacksonville!

Leigh Philips, a much loved and appreciated member of the Diocesan staff, retired at the end of January 2022. Leigh served as Assistant to the Canon to the Ordinary, Allison DeFoor. Bishop Howard awarded Leigh a Bishop's Cross Award at the 179th Annual Convention. Best wishes to Leigh Philips in retirement!
Ash Wednesday at the Florida Capitol
On Ash Wednesday, several individuals prayed and received ashes at the Florida Capital.

Rakad Dance Camp at St. Peter's, Jacksonville
Rakad Dance Camp
July 25 - July 29

Join St. Peter's Jacksonville for a five-day dance camp this summer! Rakad Dance Camp is a Christian dance camp for girls ages 5+. Each day campers learn new dances and dance techniques. They will also play games, make art projects and learn bible lessons. Lunch and snacks are included. Scholarships are available to all and extended care is available. Camp Weed Fly Fishing Course
Saturday, May 7 and Sunday, May 8

Come join nationally recognized master certified fly fishing instructors for two days of fly fishing instruction and outdoor fun at Camp Weed’s 500-acre nature retreat which includes a 100-acre bass lake! SmartCasts Essentials of Fly Fishing is a hands-on, small-group school that encourages self-discovery and accomplishment in a pristine, natural environment.

During the course you'll learn:

• Efficient Fly Casting
• Choosing The Right Equipment
• Fly Rods, Lines & Leaders
• How To Find & Fight Fish
• Trout, Bass, Pan fish, Saltwater Species
• Basic Fly Selection

This two-day course gives you all the basics. Schools are full-day Saturday and half-day Sunday, to allow for travel. Cost per student is $395 for the 2-day school. Catered lunches and all materials and equipment are provided. Class size is limited. Sign up today!

Co-Ed Cursillo #143 Recap

On March 24-27, the Camp Weed team hosted Cursillo #143 - a three-day learning, sharing and inspirational experience of living in a Christian community! The leadership lessons taught were exercised in work situations, in the family and social life, in leisure activities and within the Church environment. Thank you to those who made it a success!
