Neurodiversity Month

Neurodiversity means that everyone’s brain works in its own special way, and there’s no ONE correct way to think, learn, or experience the world. We’re celebrating all the different ways people experience life.

Throughout the month, students will have the opportunity to participate in fun and engaging activities designed to celebrate these differences! Students can make putty and submerge themselves in a sensory room to explore sensory processing differences, and create a school-wide sensory board.

The Neurodiversity Club has been working tirelessly to bring this exciting and meaningful month to life. They’re thrilled to offer these amazing opportunities to encourage everyone to learn, grow, and celebrate the unique strengths we all bring to the table!

Aviation!! It is more than just being a pilot…

Aviation 1 is now enrolling for 2026-2027 school year! Students enrolled in Aviation 1 will earn 6 dual enrollment credits with Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. Semester 1, students will learn all about aviation: history of aviation, navigating from airports and in the traffic pattern, air craft design, weather theory and services, and weight and balance. Semester 2, students will learn about how drones operate and how to fly them. See some recent photos of students practicing flight maneuvers below. Students will also go on field trips to air shows, local colleges and aviation industry businesses, and learn from guest speakers. Click here to complete a quick form to let us know that you're interested.

Students must be enrolled in Monday/Thursday cohort so that you can take Aviation 1 classes on Tuesday/Friday in addition to your regular class load. Please contact the instructor, Jessi Snyder (jsnyder@davincischools.org) with any questions!

We are excited to begin planning meaningful celebrations for the Class of 2026 as they approach the end of their high school journey! Families can support the senior class through voluntary donations to our partner, Network for Good.

All funds raised go directly toward Senior Week (the week of May 18) and the Senior Brunch on graduation rehearsal day.

Connect High Students
2nd Annual Experiential Learning Trip

Ms. Emma and Ms. Lourdes are currently leading 11 students on an unforgettable 9-day journey through Málaga, Spain, where learning is happening far beyond the classroom walls.

Students are strengthening their Spanish through daily language classes while deepening their cultural immersion by staying with local host families, experiencing authentic daily life, traditions, and conversation. They are embarking on walking tours and museum visits to gelato shops and strolls through the vibrant streets of this 3,000-year-old coastal city, each day offers meaningful exploration!

The adventure will also take the group to Granada and Seville, ending with a breathtaking hike along the Caminito del Rey on the final day. This experience highlights the powerful benefits of travel—broadening perspectives, building independence, and fostering cultural appreciation—while inspiring students to embrace curiosity and see the world as their classroom.
