Dear Connect High Families,

There is a lot to celebrate and share as we wrap up the Fall 2025 semester!

Connect Kinds

A huge thank you to Seniors, Damon Hawkins and Mekhi Dawson for creating Connect Kinds, a new way to recognize students for acts of kindness across our campus.

  • TF Connect Kind Recipient: Adrian Osorio
  • MTh Connect Kind Recipient: Timothy Soyao

Winter Wind Down

Thank you to BSU, CSB, and AAPI for collaborating to bring our school community a fun and positive end-of-semester event. The Winter Wind Down will include:

  • Karaoke Corner
  • Holiday Movie Lounge
  • And many more activities

Congratulations, Class of 2029

All Connect High students are enrolled in Arizona State University (ASU) courses. Our 9th graders begin earning ASU credit in the fall with ASU OGL 194: An ASU Introductory Course, designed to prepare them for future college classes. This 1-credit course is embedded in their English 9 class with Mr. Reynolds.

We are excited to congratulate the students who have earned their ASU OGL 194 credit this semester.

(Some of our students who completed are pictured below)

Here is the list of students who completed the course:

Congratulations to Ariadna Escamilla,

Class of 2026!

Ariadna (pictured above introducing herself) and her Class of 2026 classmates participating in Mock Interviews facilitated during College and Career Readiness Class.

We are thrilled to share that Ariadna has been awarded the QuestBridge full four-year scholarship!

QuestBridge is a national nonprofit organization that connects high-achieving students from low-income backgrounds with transformative educational, career, and life opportunities.

Ariadna will be attending Northwestern University in Fall 2026.

We are incredibly proud of her accomplishments!

Monday/Thursday Cohort Exhibition Night

Please join us for our Monday/Thursday Exhibition Night on December 11th at 5:00 PM.

We are excited to welcome our new Spanish teacher, Mr. Haywood.

Saint Haywood is from Houston, Texas and started teaching Spanish in 2015 at Dorsey High School in Los Angeles, CA. He earned his B.A. in Spanish from California State University, Los Angeles and M.Ed. from California State University, Dominguez Hills. While at CSULA he joined the most illustrious fraternity on this side of the Mississippi: Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

Saint has loved Spanish since President (H.W.) Bush was in office and has traveled to over 30 countries on planet Earth. After studying abroad in Cuernavaca, Mexico for the first time in high school, he decided to afford his students the same opportunity that he had. So, for the last several years he has taken students (and parents) to study abroad in Argentina, Brazil, France, Panama, Spain, & Uruguay.

Even though traveling, cheering on the Houston Astros, appearing in theatre productions, collecting watches, creating beautiful memories with Shalé and Cooper are all his favorite pastimes; after a busy day at Da Vinci Connect High School, Saint is binging re-runs of his favorite Mexican soap opera “Hasta Que El Dinero Nos Separe”.

¡Nos vemos!

WIN Spring 2026

This year, Connect High School launched a new 45-minute class period: What I Need (WIN). We are currently revising WIN to better align with student needs based on feedback.

For Spring 2026, students may be placed in one of 13 different WIN periods, ranging from Dual Enrollment to Coding for Students and much more!

Information about WIN selection will be emailed prior to the start of the spring semester—please keep an eye on your inbox.

No Async support sign up for Week of 12/15 (last week for the Fall Semester). Async support is set to resume on January 26, 2026.
