Dear Connect High Families,
This past Monday during our monthly Coffee with Admin meeting Robert and I explained more about our upcoming WASC visit, gathered information/feedback from our parents and introduced Steve Cagle, from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.
To increase participation and feedback for our WASC accreditation renewal we will begin sending out parent surveys to collect more information. Please look for the survey by the end of this week, as well as upcoming dates for parent meetings.
Lastly, we are committed to supporting our students through education with the support from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health Substance Abuse Counselor, Steve Cagle. Steve has been sharing with our students information regarding Fentanyl and Marijuana awareness and prevention. We hope to strengthen anti-drug-use attitudes and norms through sharing information on the health and social impacts of substance use and providing options for additional resources and supports available if needed. Steve was able to share information with families during our Coffee with Admin and answer questions.

WASC is the accrediting commission of schools for the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
Why is WASC important?
