Message from Your Principal and Assistant Principal

Dear Connect High School Families,

As we prepare to celebrate the CLASS OF 2024 and bring to a close another school year Robert and I want to again thank you for choosing Connect HS for your student!  Our entire staff has worked incredibly hard this year to not only create an academic environment in which meaningful learning took place, but a place in which students learn to use their voice to advocate for themselves and their peers!  We have also worked to create happy high school memories students will look back on with joy.

We want to wish, Alejandra Uribe, Jessica Choi, Alan Ho, and Ajay Stephens success as they move on to the next part of their journey.  We thank each of them for what they brought to Connect HS and our students.

What does the rest of this school year look like??

June 3  -  Last on-campus M/Th cohort day

June 4 -  Last on-campus T/F cohort day

June 5 - Last at-home day of school - Learning Log #4 Due

On June 3rd and 4th Connect Student Body (CSB) will host Connect’s Inaugural Summerfest!  They have planned school wide games and activities for our entire school to enjoy.  Here is the class schedule for those 2 days:

1st period -  9:15-10:00

2nd period - 10:05-10:50

3rd period - 10:55-11:35

Advisory - 11:40-12:20

Lunch 12:20-12:50

Community Dialog (CD): 12:55-1:30

Carnival: 1:30-3:15

It has been one of the goals for our school to create more opportunities to build community.  The planned Summerfest is one way to do this, as was the field trip to the Wende Museum recently (please read the write up by one of our student who attended below):

Wende Museum Field trip on May 15th

By: Madeline Carranza

The field trip to the Wende Museum was an excellent pair to our in-person instruction. It gave us the opportunity to connect our in-class material to actual artifacts from that time period. It made the content seem more real and helped me imagine what life was like for people living in this period (Americans and Russians alike). One of my favorite parts was actually the bonding with friends. It's difficult to spend time with friends at our unconventional school, but here we had the opportunity to be more social. After we learned at the museum I loved the opportunity to go pick up food and enjoy it in a park. To me, the park was like a large recess. It reminded me of when I was in middle school. People formed teams and played sports and others went on the equipment at the park. Even though I am a junior, this might have been the most I have bonded with some of my friends.

Campus Open During Summer?
