Specifically, some of the services I provide include assessing the current sales team, sales strategy, sales and coaching process and sales execution. and then implementing the necessary changes to drive sustained revenue growth.
How did you get started?
I have been in sales leadership most of my life, but I started this business - Blue Sky Consulting last year after retiring from my last role as the Business Unit Head for Alcon Laboratories, a then a division of the Novartis Pharmaceutical company.
What is your background?
I acquired the skills necessary to be successful in my role as a result of the 30+ years working with various multinational and global companies in a wide variety of industries - from Retail to Consumer Product Goods, to Functional Beverages, and then Medical Devices. I have held multiple positions of increased score and responsibility collimating in leading the sales team responsible for 500+ sales representatives and over $1.5 billion in sales.
Who is your mentor?
My greatest supporter was first and foremost, my father, who taught me the value of hard work and the importance of keeping your word. Professionally, I have been blessed with working for some really caring and committed leaders who gave me the opportunity to learn, make mistakes and grow!
Name three things you wish you knew when you started.
1, How long it was going to take to get my first client
2. When to say yes and when to say no to clients
3. How lonely it is running our company
What do you enjoy about running the business?
I enjoy the variety of clients and businesses with which I get to work. It is fun and exciting to learn the nuances of different businesses and it allows me to meet tons of great people in the East Tennessee area!
