We are excited to share the most recent developments for the Connect Talbot project. The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) officially accepted the grant documents necessary for us to move forward. Below please find some important updates:
  • An engineering firm has been selected and will begin preliminary survey work in the coming weeks.

  • We have started procuring the necessary materials to ensure adequate supply once we start construction.

  • We expect to have the construction schedule developed in mid-2021, following completion of the engineering and design phase.
  • We anticipate construction starting in the second half of 2021.

  • Once the final costs are determined, we will confirm the final CIAC (Contribution In Aid of Construction), which is the portion paid by the customer in addition to the monthly fees for service. At this time, we can confirm the maximum investment from the customer will be $60 for 60 months.*
*The CIAC will cover a portion of installation costs for a specified distance from the curb to the premise. Additional fees will apply for every foot over the specified distance, which is still to be determined.

Mi-Tech has been selected by the engineering firm to begin canvassing the areas included in the Connect Talbot project. Should you see these vehicles in your neighborhood, please know they are working with us. Some may even have an Easton Utilities decal on the vehicle!
