Highlights: Registration Now Open for Fall Activities and Classes, Appreciating Commission and Committee Volunteers, Pacifica Resource Center's Palm-a-Palooza
Connect With Pacifica This Week

Pacifica, like most cities, has numerous Commissions and Committees with volunteer members who apply and are selected and appointed by the City Council. Vacancies on several commissions/committees were appointed at the August 13 City Council meeting, and numerous more vacancies will be coming up this fall. They’re usually mentioned in this newsletter. I’m mentioning this because these bodies, in their advisory role to the City Council, are very important to the City’s decision-making processes and the projects, programs, and services the City approves and delivers. Therefore, I wanted to thank these volunteers in particular (and of course all volunteers city-wide) for their time and service, and to encourage you to consider applying for future vacancies. Serving on a commission/committee is a great way to become involved in city government and contribute your talents.

Please let me know if you have comments or questions, and  thank you  for wanting to  Connect with Pacifica !
