Highlights: Pedestrian Safety Month, Traffic Enforcement Focusing on Impaired Driving, RFQ Issued for Ocean Front Hotel Development in Pacifica
Connect With Pacifica This Week
September is California Pedestrian Safety Month, press release here. However, in my mind and for the Pacifica Police Department, every day is pedestrian safety day. With schools back in session and nice September beach weather right around the corner, there will be more pedestrians and bicyclists out and about, so drivers should exercise extra caution – pedestrians have the right of way at intersections and crosswalks, stay off your mobile device, stop fully and be patient and courteous, and always be alert. If this sounds hard to do because of morning-rushed school drop-off and work schedules, try to build safe driving practices into your daily routine and make safety a habit. Dealing with the aftermath of an accident is much harder. There’s no comparison.
Have a fun and safe Labor Day weekend.
Please let me know if you have comments or questions, and thank you for wanting to Connect with Pacifica!
