Connect With Pacifica This Week
Greetings!

The 4th of July -- fun and festivities celebrating Independence Day -- is right around the corner. Of course, safety is paramount to the Pacifica Police Department and the North County Fire Authority. I’d like to remind everyone City of Pacifica Municipal Codes regarding the use of illegal fireworks are strict, and call for fines of $1,000 for any violation. Illegal fireworks are a danger to the safety of the Pacifica community, and pose an extreme fire hazard. See information below about the allowed use of Safe and Sane fireworks, and the prohibited use of illegal fireworks. I also encourage you to help spread the word to your friends and neighbors and children about the risks – safety, legal, and financial – of illegal fireworks.

While on the topic of fire safety, see the link below about a Wildfire Preparedness Informational Event to be held on Saturday, June 30th , 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Linda Mar Fire Station. Drop in during that time and learn about what you can do to be prepared in the event of a wildfire.

Please let me know if you have comments or questions, and  thank you  for wanting to  Connect with Pacifica !

Sincerely,
KEVIN WOODHOUSE
City Manager
