Highlights: Sea Level Study Session a Success, New Clean Energy Programs
Connect With Pacifica This Week
Greetings!

City staff spent the weekend at the Pacific Coast Fog Fest marching in the parade and sharing information on projects and activities at the City booth. (Please check out the photos below.)  Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello!
Fog Fest 2016 - Public Works
At the next City Council meeting on October 10, two especially significant reports will be presented to the City Council—one on finalizing the Council’s goals and work plan, and the other on developing a policy for sea level rise.  The work plan provides a great high level view of what's going on in the City. Sea level rise has been described as a "slow moving emergency" but for our city, the pace seems to be much faster. The reports will be posted online no later than Friday, Oct. 6.  Links to them will be included in next week’s Connect With Pacifica.

Please let me know if you have comments or questions, and  thank you for wanting to  Connect with Pacifica!

Best,
LORIE TINFOW
City Manager

Sea Level Rise Study Session a Success
Sea Level Rise Study Session pano
The City’s Sea Level Rise Study Session on Sept. 27, attracted more than 60 people.  After the Mayor opened the meeting, audience members formed small groups and engaged in conversations about sea level rise that were facilitated by City staff.  Council members listened in to the discussions to hear what folks had to say about this important topic.  Following the discussions, each group reported out their comments which were summarized for the Council’s consideration in policy-setting on October 10.  Thank you to all who attended and shared their thoughts!
