Connect With Pacifica This Week

Last week I reported about streets paving progress on Linda Mar Blvd. and Oceana Blvd. This week I’m excited to report that paving of the parking lot and access road for Frontierland Park is beginning! Funded through annual fees paid to the City by Recology related to the closed landfill there, this project will improve the park visitors’ experience, as well as provide additional environmental protection. Many other important City and community events and meetings will be upcoming this spring, so stay connected, and enjoy the longer evening daylight!

Please let me know if you have comments or questions, and  thank you for wanting to  Connect with Pacifica!

Multi-Unit Housing Smoking Ordinances
On Monday, March 25, a report will be presented to City Council regarding multi-unit housing smoking ordinances. This report is the result of a San Mateo County Civil Grand Jury report released in July 2018 titled “Smoke-Free Multi-Unit housing: No Ifs, Ands or Butts.” Presentation of this agenda item complies with a San Mateo County Civil Grand Jury recommendation to evaluate issues and hear residents' views on restricting smoking in multi-unit housing in Pacifica.

The San Mateo County Civil Grand Jury report can be found here.
