  • Countywide Stormwater Resource Plan Public Workshop on Jan. 10 - Do you share a vision for sustainably managed stormwater in San Mateo County? The City/County Association of Governments of San Mateo County (C/CAG) and the San Mateo Countywide Water Pollution Prevention Program invite you to attend upcoming public workshops for the proposed Draft San Mateo County Stormwater Resource Plan (SRP). A public workshop will be held in Pacifica on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 from 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM at the Pacifica Community Center, 540 Crespi Drive.   • Public Comment Period on Equalization Basin Project Open Through Jan. 13 - The Wet Weather Equalization Basin Project ("Project") is a 2.1 million gallon underground holding tank to be used during a storm event to prevent sanitary sewer overflow in the lower Linda Mar area. Public comments on the Draft Mitigated Negative Declaration / Initial Study for the Project are due January 13, 2017 to Bonny O'Connor, Planning Department, 1800 Francisco Blvd., Pacifica, CA 94044 or by email to: o'[email protected]. Hard copies of the MND/IS document are available for review at the following locations:

         1. Planning Department, 1800 Francisco Blvd.
         2. Sanchez Library - 1111 Terra Nova Blvd.
         3. Sharp Park Library - 104 Hilton Way    

  • Active Planning Applications - Did you know that you can find out the status of active projects submitted to the Planning Department on the City’s website under Departments - Planning? Go directly to the listing here.

  • CERT Classes Begin Jan. 19 - The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. The Pacifica Police Department offers CERT training classes twice a year at the Pacifica Police Department. The next class begins Thursday, January 19, 2017, and continues weekly on Thursday evenings until March 2. See the CERT Flyer for more information and how to register.

  • Now Recruiting for PB&R Commission – The City of Pacifica is seeking qualified citizens to serve on its Parks, Beaches & Recreation Commission. See the Recruitment Notice for more information. Application available hereDeadline to apply is December 30.

As many of you know, the library bond measure placed on the November ballot as Measure N received a clear majority, 54%, of the votes; however, the measure did not receive the two-thirds voter support needed to pass a bond measure. So where do we go from here? To help answer that question, we want to hear from you. Please share your thoughts via our City Hall Listens survey; the survey closes January 4, 2017.
