This Saturday, June 30 th , there will be a Wildfire Preparedness Informational Event, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Fire Station 72, 1100 Linda Mar Blvd. Come learn about wildfire preparedness strategies for residents. It’s a drop-in style event anytime during those hours. And next week is the 4 th of July -- help spread the word to your friends and neighbors and children about the risks – safety, legal, and financial – of illegal fireworks. Illegal fireworks are a danger to the safety of the Pacifica community, pose an extreme fire hazard, and could result in an automatic $1,000 fine for any violation. See information below about the allowed use of Safe and Sane fireworks, and the prohibited use of illegal fireworks. Also, see below about numerous fun family activities happening on the 4 th . Also, if you have some free time on July 5 th please consider signing up for a beach clean-up organized by the Pacifica Beach Coalition to rid our beaches of leftover trash and fireworks debris before the tide takes it out to sea.

  • Linda Mar Fire Station Hosts Wildfire Preparedness Event on June 30 - Pacifica Fire Department and Pacifica Police Department encourage our residents to drop in any time between 10:00am and 1:00pm at Fire Station 72 at 1100 Linda Mar Boulevard in Pacifica on Saturday, June 30 to learn about wildfire preparedness strategies from organizations including the Pacifica Fire and Police Departments, Pacifica CERT (Community Emergency Response Team), California Department of Insurance and more. Pacifica's Fireworks Rules and Safety Information
The Pacifica Police want everyone to enjoy a safe 4th of July holiday experience.

Pacifica Police Captain Chris Clements discusses what you need to know about


including when and where "Safe and Sane" fireworks are allowed, Pacifica's Social Host Ordinance for fireworks, fines for illegal fireworks, and how to report illegal fireworks activity and/or emergencies. "Safe and Sane" fireworks can be recognized by the State of California Fire Marshall's seal pictured above.

Celebrate 4th of July at Frontierland Park
Bring the whole family to enjoy food, live music, free games, face painting, and crafts at the 44th Annual 4th of July Celebration hosted by City of Pacifica Parks, Beaches & Recreation Department at Frontierland Park on Wednesday, July 4 from 11:00am to 4:00pm.

Register Now for the 2018 Rocket Run

The Rocket Run is Pacifica’s annual 4 th of July community 5-mile race, with entry divisions for all age groups from youth to adult. The race begins and ends at the Pacifica Community Center.   • July 5 Beach Clean-Up - Volunteer to help our beaches and ocean at one of the special post-4th of July beach clean-ups organized by the Pacifica Beach Coalition scheduled for July 5 from 7:30am - 9:30am at one of the following local beaches: Linda Mar State Beach, Rockaway Beach and Sharp Park Beach. Holiday fun leaves trash and/or fireworks debris on our beaches, and we'd like to rid our beaches of this debris before it makes its way into the ocean. Help protect our marine life and keep our beaches clean. All ages are welcome. Click here for more information or to sign up for a beach clean-up! (As a reminder, safe and sane fireworks are only allowed in designated areas at Linda Mar State Beach and prohibited at Pacifica's other local beaches.
