Highlights: Sea Level Rise Draft Adaptation Plan Public Workshop, Solar Workshop, Fireworks Rules and Safety Information
Connect With Pacifica This Week

This Saturday, June 23rd, the City will hold a public workshop on the Preliminary Draft Adaptation Plan for the Sea Level Rise/Local Coastal Plan Update project; click here for meeting details. This will be the 8th public meeting held for this project. I encourage you to learn about this important project on the City's Sea Level Rise webpage and participate in the meeting if you are available. There also will be additional public meetings in coming months, as well as a Planning Commission public meeting and a City Council public meeting(s) on this project in the fall.

I’d also like to remind you, with the 4th of July coming up, to help spread the word to your friends and neighbors and children about the risks – safety, legal, and financial – of illegal fireworks. The City of Pacifica Municipal Codes regarding the use of illegal fireworks are strict, and call for fines of $1,000 for any violation. Illegal fireworks are a danger to the safety of the Pacifica community, and pose an extreme fire hazard. See information below about the allowed use of Safe and Sane fireworks, and the prohibited use of illegal fireworks.

Please let me know if you have comments or questions, and  thank you  for wanting to  Connect with Pacifica !
