  • Implementation of Short-Term Rental Program - The City of Pacifica implemented the Short Term Rental (STR) Program this week. The STR program regulates the rental of existing residential units to occupants on a short-term basis, generally less than 30 days.  The program requires STR hosts (or operators) located within the City of Pacifica to obtain a STR permit, a City of Pacifica Business License, and sign a STR Safety Declaration before offering accommodations. Additionally, once STR accommodations are provided, the host/operator is required to collect and remit Transient Occupancy Taxes as required by the City. Pacifica Public Works Offers Pet Waste Bag Dispensers to Clean Up After Your Pet for a Healthy Environment
Rain is forecast in Pacifica and we need your help. Pet waste left on sidewalks, streets, yards and other open areas can be washed away by rains and irrigation systems, making its way into storm drains leading into local creeks and the ocean. Pollution from the pet waste can harm the water quality and habitat. Carry disposable bags when you walk your pet and pick up and dispose of pet waste in a garbage can. Offer extra bags to other pet owners who are without. Clean up after your dog every single time. FREE Dog Bag Dispenser and Waste Bags are available to Pacifica residents from the City of Pacifica while supplies last. Pick yours up at the Pacifica Department of Public Works office at 151 Milagra Drive.
