Connect With Pacifica This Week
Greetings!

Pacifica is alive with activity! First, tomorrow (Saturday, 4/27) is the Pacific Beach Coalition EcoFest and Cleanup. Come lend a hand keeping Pacifica beautiful, or come to just have fun! Then, on Saturday May 4, a Wildfire Awareness presentation and informational event will be held at the Community Center. Come learn how to be prepared in advance for catastrophes, and learn about work the City is doing with the County on evacuation planning. The Police Department, North County Fire Authority, County Office of Emergency Services, CalFire, FireSafe of San Mateo County, and the CA Dept. of Insurance will all be on hand to answer questions and provide information.

In other City news, the Frontierland Park parking lot and access road is now paved. See some pics above. Also this week, the City Council approved a ½ mile of Monterey Rd for repaving during next fiscal year along with other upcoming paving projects. The Council also adopted their goals and priority projects for next fiscal year, which will be posted on the City's website in the coming weeks.

Finally, SamTrans is launching on May 6 a new bus service pilot in southern Pacifica, called OnDemand, details here about upcoming trainings and information about how to use this new service.

Please let me know if you have comments or questions, and  thank you for wanting to  Connect with Pacifica!

Sincerely,
KEVIN WOODHOUSE
City Manager
