Connect With Pacifica This Week
Greetings!

2018 is off to a busy and exciting start here in Pacifica. Please review the lists of events and announcements below. I’m excited to announce that the City’s Library Advisory Committee, along with City staff, San Mateo County Libraries staff, and with consultant assistance, are wrapping up nearly a year of work to complete a Pacifica Libraries Opportunities Report , to be presented to the City Council at the January 22nd City Council meeting. The Final Report will be available early next week on the Library Project webpage on the City’s website. The draft report is currently available there.

January 1, 2018, also brought with it new California State laws regarding recreational cannabis. In addition, in Pacifica last year new ordinances were enacted regarding cannabis businesses, as well as Pacifica voter approval of a tax measure on cannabis sales. The Pacifica Police Department has created a short reference sheet about What You Need to Know about Recreational Cannabis in Pacifica . I encourage you to know the law.  In addition, the City’s website provides extensive information about the licensing process for Pacifica’s local Cannabis Business Program .

Please let me know if you have comments or questions, and  thank you for wanting to  Connect with Pacifica!

Sincerely,
KEVIN WOODHOUSE
City Manager
