Highlights: Notice of Hearing on Sewer Service Rates, Update on Edgemar Sinkhole, Retail 102 Session
Connect With Pacifica This Week

The agenda for Monday’s City Council meeting is unusually long with more reports scheduled than is typical, in part because this will be my last City Council meeting in Pacifica.

At the meeting, the Council will consider approving a contract for Interim City Manager services with Keith Breskin, an experienced City Manager selected from 4 candidates. With approval of his contract, he will serve for the next 4-6 months while the Council conducts a professional search for the next permanent City Manager.

The Council will also be discussing a number of other important items including next steps related to planning for a new library, the process to increase sewer rates beginning in 2017-18, and whether or not to award the construction bid for the first phase of the Palmetto Streetscape plan. There is also a report recommending the first payment toward repaying an internal loan from 2003, and another approving compensation agreements with two employee groups. This will be a jam-packed evening!

If any of these topics pique your interest, please check out the  full agenda here .

Repairs to Edgemar Avenue Sinkhole Near Completion
Edgemar Sinkhole Repair 3-22-17
Edgemar Sinkhole before
Work is nearing completion on repairs in response to the sinkhole that forced the closure along Edgemar Avenue from Milagra Drive to Arroyo Drive since January 11, 2017. The remaining work includes paving the road and True Jesus Church parking lot. Work was originally anticipated to be completed this week, however wet weather caused some delay while crews wait for the site to dry out. Weather permitting, we anticipate completing the project on March 31st. At that time, Edgemar Avenue will be fully re-opened to through-traffic. Some minor site cleanup may continue following reopening of Edgemar Avenue. The City thanks you for your patience.
