Connect With Pacifica This Week
Greetings!

Starting in April, CalTrans will be coordinating a project to pave the main thoroughfare through Pacifica – a ten-mile stretch of Highway 1 beginning south of Pacifica at Grey Whale Cove and extending all the way to the Highway 280 connection in Daly City. This is the first end-to-end paving project on this 10-mile section of Highway 1 in over 20 years. CalTrans will be coordinating road work times to minimize traffic impact, focusing most of the work at night. Smoother roads are ahead for Pacifica.

See this CalTrans News Release for more information. If you’d like to receive updates from CalTrans about the project click here to ask to be added to the “Highway 1 Paving List”.

Please let me know if you have comments or questions, and  thank you  for wanting to  Connect with Pacifica !

Sincerely,
KEVIN WOODHOUSE
City Manager

  • Pacifica Police Offers Active Shooter Response Presentation on March 20 - Recent national tragedies remind us that the risk is real- an active shooter incident can happen in any place at any time. The best ways to make sure you and your loved ones stay safe are to prepare ahead of time and be ready. Taking a few steps now and mentally rehearsing what you can do can help you react quickly when every second counts. Learn those steps. Due to popular demand, the Pacifica Police have scheduled another presentation on March 20. Register online here; space is limited. If you are unable to attend the training, check out this Run, Hide, Fight video for some basic information on responding to an active shooter situation (please note that the video contains re-enactment of gun violence). For groups interested in scheduling a presentation at your location, please contact Captain Joe Spanheimer at spanheimerj@pacificapolice.org.
