Connect With Pacifica This Week
Greetings!

During 2019, the City of Pacifica will be continuing numerous major initiatives/projects, as well as beginning new ones, that are vital to the social, environmental, and economic future of our City. Each of these initiatives, such as the Bike & Pedestrian Master Plan, the Local Coastal Plan and General Plan Updates, the West Sharp Park Specific Plan, the Libraries, and other major Public Works projects, to name a few, require engaging with the community and hearing ideas and input. This week, key Pacifica staff participated in a Public Engagement training through the Institute for Local Government to learn more about best strategies for public engagement. Although the City has been employing some of these best practices in recent years on many projects, we know there’s room for improvement, and I look forward to putting some of these practices into play during 2019. Of course, the best public engagement practices can falter without community members getting involved, so I encourage you stay in tune to City announcements and get involved.

Please let me know if you have comments or questions, and  thank you  for wanting to  Connect with Pacifica !

Sincerely,
KEVIN WOODHOUSE
City Manager
