Lace-up and Glide over to Old Town's Ice-Skating Rink!
Get ready to embrace the winter magic right in the heart of Old Town Galt! The synthetic ice-skating rink on 4th Street is now open, and we invite you to join us for a unique experience.
Individual tickets are available, along with family and group packages. Each ticket includes a 60-minute skate session and skate rental. Tickets are available on-site, and cash and credit cards are accepted.
The synthetic ice rink is family-friendly and designed for all ages and abilities. Skate aids are available to rent for those in need of additional assistance. Let's make this a December to remember for our community. Don't miss it!

Galt Police Department 'Home Alone' Holiday Open House on Dec. 20
The Galt Police Department will once again host their annual Holiday Open House this year on Wednesday, December 20!
Bring the entire family to hear How Galt PD Stopped the Wet Bandits and enjoy story time with Grandpa Cop. The police department will be open for tours, and treats will be available for the whole family.

Chess Class for Beginners and Intermediates!
Give your child the opportunity to learn and master chess with us! Chess is more than just a game; it's a mental exercise that enhances focus, patience, and the valuable skill of planning ahead. These engaging lessons are designed for beginner and intermediate players.
Beginners:
Youth ages 5-12 are welcome to join. Classes are held every Tuesday, 4:00 pm-4:40 pm starting January 23 until March 26.
Session fee: $120 each
Intermediate:
This class is for those who have already taken the beginner class or have prior experience.
Youth ages 5-13 are welcome to join. Classes are held every Tuesday, 4:45 pm-5:25 pm starting January 23 until March 26.
Session fee: $120 each

Are you behind on your City of Galt utility account?
City of Galt residents can now participate in the California Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) and receive assistance with their Water and Sewer Systems Utility bills.
This local assistance program will provide financial support to help low-income households or residents catch up with their past-due balances for water and sewer-related services (water, wastewater, and storm drain-related fees).

Cal-Waste:
Residential Waste Collection Schedule
As Christmas approaches, we wanted to inform you of a slight adjustment to the residential waste collection schedule.
Christmas Day falls on a Monday this year (December 25), and in observance of the holiday, all of the Cal-Waste collection services during the week will be postponed by one day.
EXAMPLE: Regularly scheduled Monday service will occur on Tuesday, Tuesday's regular service will occur on Wednesday, Wednesday's regular service will occur on Thursday, etc.
Please mark your calendars accordingly to ensure a smooth waste collection process during the holiday week.
