Brant Wildlife Festival

Check out the amazing events taking place during the 2020 Brant Wildlife Festival in March and April. The festival celebrates nature, especially the small Brant goose which migrates from Mexico to the Arctic with stops to rest and feed along the shores of Vancouver Island. There are more than 20 activities for adults and children including wildlife viewing, guided bird walks, a bioblitz and plenty of other indoor and outdoor events. The Nature Trust of BC is hosting Sean Boyd from the Canadian Wildlife Service who will share the latest research about Brant geese with a special emphasis on those that stop in the Parksville-Qualicum area, on March 27 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 p.m. in Parksville.  Tickets are $10 per person and available by calling 1-866-288-7878 or email . Welcoming Mahkia to Our Team The Nature Trust of BC is pleased to welcome Mahkia Eybagi to the new position of Project Coordinator. She will be providing support to the finance and administration team.                                                                Mahkia has experience working for not for profits, corporations and the Federal Government. She has a Master’s degree in International Development Studies from Dalhousie University in Halifax focusing on international relations and community development. She believes nature keeps us connected and grounded. She loves hiking, rock climbing and outdoor yoga.
