York Wines in Richmond Hill, Ontario.
The owner Edwin Ibude has a background in Chemical Engineering, over 15 years of working experience in the alcoholic beverage industry, interest and passion for beer and wine making that shines through with every meeting.
Edwin, and his partner took over ownership of the Brew Kettle Richmond Hill in September 2016. In 2022, they embarked on a strategic business reorganization, the business split into two separate entities: York Brewery as a Microbrewery Brewery with retail authorization and; York Wines as a ferment-on-premise facility for wine making.
Most of their customers make beer but Edwin takes time to suggest wine ensuring that the customer is also shown the opportunity to buy wine thereby using their facility as a one-stop shop and meeting all the customers beverage alcohol needs.
His flagship wines are Pinot Grigio for whites and Cabernet Sauvignon for reds. His best-selling beer is their York Brewery Blonde Ale.
Edwin supports his local community by hosting and participating in Richmond Hill Board of Trade events; supporting Knights of Columbus events; Rotary Club Beer Fest; tasting events for Senior Residents; Richmond Hill Ribfest; sponsorship of golf tournaments; sponsorship of cycling events.
