COVID-19 TENANT RELIEF ACT

Rent Relief & Guidelines
With as many as 1.5 million California renters behind on rent and at risk of eviction because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the CA COVID-19 Rent Relief program will be a lifeline to renters and landlords. It clears accumulated rental debt, keeps the hardest-hit families in their homes, and will lead to a more equitable economic recovery.
NEW PPP FUNDING DEADLINES

Apply by March 31, 2021
In order to reach the smallest businesses, SBA will offer Paycheck Protection Program loans to businesses with fewer than 20 employees and sole proprietors only through Tuesday, March 9, 2021. President Biden has also announced additional program changes to make access to PPP loans more equitable.

This will give lenders and community partners more time to work with the smallest businesses to submit their applications, while also ensuring that larger PPP-eligible businesses will still have plenty of time to apply for and receive support before the program expires on March 31, 2021.
HR 1319, THE AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN
American Rescue Plan Act of 2021
From the Office of Assemblyman Kevin Kiley:
● American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (Act) provides $1.9 trillion for pandemic relief, and allocates those funds to a broad swath of programs, including assistance to individuals, businesses, state and local governments, public and private schools, community health centers and health providers.
● The Act does not include limits on COVID-related liability.
● The Act prohibits states from using the funds to directly or indirectly offset a reduction in the states net tax revenue.
