HUMAN LIBRARY RETURNS!
In June 2020, Redwood City Public Library received a Welcoming Star Award from Redwood City 2020 for our Human Library program. Redwood City 2020 wrote of the program: "In light of the recent momentum around the Black Lives Matter movement and societal upheaval by the COVID-19 pandemic, the need for human connection across differences is greater than ever. These 20 minute one-on-one conversations through the Human Library aim to do just that, by breaking down stereotypes and prejudices and celebrating the diversity right here in Redwood City."

Join us for a chance to connect with your neighbors during our first virtual Human Library on December 5, 2020. During the event, you will have the opportunity to check out human “books” to "read" through one-on-one 20-minute conversations via Zoom.

This session includes the following Human Books:
  • Muslim
  • Police Officer
  • Autistic
  • PTSD
  • TherActivist
  • Undocumented/Dreamer
  • Recovering Alcoholic
  • Police Officer
  • Civil Rights Activist
