'22 Conference a Platform for Young Conservationists
In CLCC’s recent land trust survey, “recruitment of younger board members” was at the top of the list for land trusts’ organizational challenges.

The concern comes up all the time - whether during casual conversations or more formally with board members and staff through workshops and roundtable discussions. Land trust leaders are worried about who is going to succeed them to ensure that their land conservation vision is carried forward.

What isn’t as clear is how younger people feel about their role in land conservation and how (and if) they envision themselves taking charge of that perpetual responsibility.

This year’s Connecticut Land Conservation Conference is a step forward in our efforts to gain that insight.

Planned by younger conservationists from around the state, we will offer a series of virtual roundtables and an outdoor event giving them and their peers a platform to share their land conservation vision and their ideas for action to “be the change they wish to see in the world.”

Please join us in this unique opportunity led by those who will follow in our footsteps in protecting the places we need and love.

Enjoy your weekend!
Sincerely,
Amy
