Child care providers and preschool teachers have had a tremendous responsibility over the last 23 months in keeping children safe, involved, and educated. Many differing policies and having to pivot on a moment's notice. The stress they feel can impact the classroom and the emotional state of the children.

Thanks to a grant from Broomfield Community Foundation, BECC and our partners at Mental Health Partners are teaming up to offer a Early Childhood Educator (ECE) support group specifically for our Broomfield early childhood educators starting on February 17th at 6pm.

Registration required. Please forward the registration link to any child care provider you know.

BE IN THE KNOW!

Broomfield Public Health has updated the mask mandates! Because of the diligent work of our community with vaccinations and continued mask wearing mandate has been rescinded.

Although masks are no longer required, Masks are still a very useful tool in terms of reducing transmission of many illnesses, including COVID, Flu and RSV.  High quality masks are encouraged. KN-95 is the best to use.

Please see the Public Health information page here.

If you are in a child care setting and need some additional guidance, please reach out to BECC and we will support you in your decision making and policies.

This project requires physical strength and stamina. You will assist with organizing and stocking items ready for shopping, as well as tidying up clothing, households and other shopping areas so that donations are easily accessible for the Marshall Fire Victims. You may also help accept donations from the general public. Please wear comfortable clothes you can get dirty, closed toe shoes, and a mask.

Colorado Child Care Licensing has updated the licensing regulations. Previous licensing regulations had the infant/toddlers are categorized from birth to age 2. Now, it is birth to 18 months.

How does this help?

It opens up the licensing ability for providers to take more children over 18 months. Many licenses allow only two children below two. Now, child care providers can care for more children in a licensed setting.
