Broomfield Child Care Connect website

BECC's new website, www.broomfieldchildcareconnect.com will feature tools to give families insight for real time availability to child care openings in Broomfield County saving parents hours of calls and emails finding a spot for their child.


is grant will provide $10k - $750k for programs providing an emphasis on innovative, equity-focused, practice- or systems-building efforts that address early childhood challenges and inform broader change.

Confident Parenting

Confident Parenting is a 6-week course designed for Broomfield parents with children ages 2 1/2 - 5 years. This will be in person to support parents learning skills and developing tools to reduce challenging behavior while building a stronger relationships with children.

Starting March 31st, 5:30 - 7pm at Paul Derda Recreation Center. Dinner and child care provided. Register by visiting our website, here.



Pinwheels for Prevention

April is Prevent Child Abuse Awareness month! This year, we will have large pinwheels that are stationary and reusable to reduce waste. We will still have pinwheels for children to take as a reminder that child abuse is preventable! Join us for the celebration at Broomfield Library on April 5th at 1015am. We welcome all partners to celebrate this month and connect about what resources our community has for prevention child abuse!



Tiny Tot Town

Stroll the streets of this child size town and accompany your child to the grocery store, bank, dance studio and so much more! Parents can receive resources as your kids play! April 9, 530-7pm, Broomfield High School. No registration required.



Networking meetings for early childhood providers and teachers

Broomfield's Family Child Care Homes are supported through our monthly meeting, The Huddle! Join us on March 14th at 6:30pm, register here! Our Child Care Centers and preschool Directors are supported through our monthly meeting, Director's Roundtable. Join us for the next meeting on April 12th at 12:30pm, register here.



BECC Partnership meeting

CIRCLE Grants for early childhood

Community Innovation and Resilience for Care and Learning Environments is a grant that has a lot of potential for early childhood quality, equity and accessibility programs.  The emphasis is on innovative, equity-focused, practice- or systems-building efforts that address early childhood challenges and inform broader change. BECC Board of Directors RECRUITMENT

Our Early Childhood Council has opportunities for leadership on the Board of Directors. We are looking for community members who have an interest in giving direction and support in our strategic plan goals. We also hope to have community members representing voices and experiences from the Hispanic, Asian, African-American communities, parents of children with disabilities, and general business knowledge of finance and marketing. Broomfield Early Childhood Council has received funding from the American Rescue Plan to help build and sustain the early child care and learning workforce and build high quality sites. We have hired two of our friends as employees and are already making great strides in our community! You'll be seeing more of them, Brooke Brogle and Shelley Jicha will be in the community shaking hands and sharing their knowledge! We are so lucky to have them, when you meet them, you'll know why!

A new resource from the State of Colorado is available to parents, providers, and professionals who work with young children.


The Early Childhood Mental Health Support Line is a no-cost, confidential resource for anyone who cares for children under six. The support line helps families and caregivers to better understand and support the mental and emotional wellbeing of young children in their care. 


Trained mental health consultants provide support for parents and professionals so they can support young children’s social-emotional development, address behavioral questions or concerns, and connect caregivers to resources in their community.

Child care providers across the state have received information on the 2022 Colorado Child Care Market Rate Survey, conducted on behalf of the Colorado Office of Early Childhood (OEC). The purpose of the survey is to collect information about the cost of child care for Colorado families. This data will be used to help set rates for the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP) and provide equitable access to quality child care for all young Coloradans. Providers who complete the survey by March 15, 2022 will be entered into a drawing to win one of 35 $100 Amazon gift cards.

The Broomfield Resource Guide continues to add a variety of resources that directly support Broomfield residents access to transportation, health care & mental health care, emergency assistance, child services and adult & senior services.


We will be using some of our Colorado Gives donations to enhance our website!

The Colorado Early Learning and Development Guidelines (ELDG) are based on research and bring together widely accepted strategies to help children develop successfully. Anyone who cares for a young child care use this resource to support giving kids a healthy start!


BECC will be harnessing these ELDGs in various forms that are easily accessible to parents along with activities!
