Building a Stronger Tompkins County Together
WELCOME TO UNITED WAY OF TOMPKINS COUNTY'S
NEW BI-MONTHLY NEWSLETTER!
Twice a month we invite you to learn more about various UWTC partners who, like you, are coming together to build a stronger Tompkins County and support our neighbors as they pursue more sustainable and joy-filled lives.
In November We Celebrate Harvest, Food, and Gratitude in Tompkins County...
AND we want to recognize our funded partner Foodbank of the Southern Tier (FBST) because creating a future without hunger, where everyone has access to healthy food takes work, dedication and strong partnerships.

FBST recognizes access to healthy food by all as fundamental to the well-being and success of individuals and the foundation of a strong, vibrant society.
The Food Bank of the Southern Tier partners with Tompkins County food pantries to build and sustain hunger-free communities. FBST provides our local pantries with quality food items. These pantries ensure that the food acquired gets to the people who need it most. Thank you FBST for providing our community with examples of successful partnerships, and continuing to support of our local food pantries during this time of increased need due to COVID-19.

By switching to a "Meals-to-Go" model, community members have continued to have access to a healthy and nutritious meal while maintaining social distancing guidelines. Conversations held in the pick-up line are certainly shorter than they would be gathered around the communal table. However, Loaves and Fishes' consistency and care continue to maintain important relationships with our neighbors in need. Loaves and Fishes is currently looking for volunteers to support their Meals-to-Go each weekday. For more information on becoming a volunteer, e-mail: info@loaves.org.
Thank you Loaves and Fishes for providing nutritious meals to our neighbors in need.
