Dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus, part of the growing repentance remnant, cleansing as His Bride, getting ready for His soon return as our Bridegroom,

Join me in repenting that we in the Body of Christ have rarely if ever followed the holy calendar ordained by the Lord in His Word. Our brother in Yeshua, David Silver, Out of Zion Ministries, in his recent Carmel Alert, draws an excellent connection between Shavout and Pentecost:

David's Comment: Connecting Shavuot and Pentecost
Leviticus 23:15 - 16 And you shall count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering: seven Sabbaths shall be completed. Count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath; then you shall offer a new grain offering to the Lord.
Next Thursday night is the eve of the next Levitical festival in the annual cycle - Shavuot, or the Feast of Weeks. This year the Christian world will celebrate Pentecost Sunday two days later. Some years the two events, which are absolutely connected can be up 3 weeks or more apart. The Hebrew word Shavuot is the plural of Shavua or week, or 7 x 7 days which is 49 days. Pentecost is a Greek word which means 50 days, so I am sure you are already seeing the connection. Here are some more interesting facts that connect Shavuot and Pentecost.
Shavuot
* GOD comes down to Mt.Sinai on the 50th day after Passover
* Thunder - Lightning - Fire - Shaking
* GOD's finger of fire writes the commandments on stone tablets
* 3000 people die (Exodus 32:28)
Pentecost
* The Holy Spirit comes down to Jerusalem on the 50th day after Passover
*  Loud noise like a mighty rushing wind
*  Tongues of fire write the Torah on the hearts of the Disciples
* 3000 people are born again (Acts 2:41)
Therefore we can expect the final 3 to also mirror the original events. GOD calls the Levitical feasts "My Feasts" or in Hebrew "Moedim" which means 'Appointed Times.' They are YHVH's special dates that He comes down to meet with His people. There are 7 of these Moedim in the annual cycle. Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits, Shavuot, Feast of Shofars, Yom Kippur and Succott (Tabernacles). As well as being special appointments on which we can meet with our Creator, these 7 Moedim have some other very important purposes ........
1/. To teach us about the nature and character of GOD
2/. To assist us to teach our children about who GOD is and how His Kingdom functions
3/. The feast cycle and their relevance are a picture of the prophetic time clock to help us know where we are in GOD's plans and purposes. We look back into the past to see what the future holds for us. The first 4 of the 7 Feasts have been similarly fulfilled in a way that mirrors the original events. Therefore we can expect the final 3 to also mirror the original events, giving us an accurate glimpse into what we can expect in the days ahead.
On the basis of what I have written above, surely everyone who has a covenant relationship with the GOD of Israel should be very interested to learn about the special days and syncronize our lives with the calendar of our Creator, rather than the calendar of the other kingdom.
How is Shavuot / Pentecost relevant to Christians in the 21st Century ?
1/. Religious Jews traditionally read the book of Ruth at Shavuot. The story of Ruth the Gentile is very relevant to Christians, as her famous words to Naomi, "your people shall be my people, and your GOD shall be my GOD" are a perfect picture of how every Christian should feel and behave towards Israel and the Jewish people.
2/. Shavuot is about the giving of the Torah - the Word of GOD. It is also related to the grain harvest. Wheat or grain is also related to the Word of GOD. Yeshua is the Word who became flesh (John 1:1) and He is the prefect example of how we should live our lives. To become more like Yeshua, we need a perfect balance of the Word and the Holy Spirit.
3/. On the original Shavuot the Commandments were given and at the fulfillment on the first Pentecost the Holy Spirit was poured out. We live in very challenging times - lies and deceiving spirits everywhere, therefore we all need to be full of, and led by the Holy Spirit - we need that balance of the Word and the Holy Spirit.
Shavuot / Pentecost Offering In Biblical times, Shavuot was one of the three pilgrimage festivals in which all the Jewish men would go to Jerusalem and bring their first fruit offerings to the Temple. If you are not a regular financial supporter of this ministry, the Feast times are the perfect time to do that. If you want to make a Shavuot offering to Out of Zion, please go to our website to find the details how to do that in your country. www.outofzion.org/partner-with-us
And please pray for a revelation of the reality of GOD and that Yeshua is the Messiah of the Jewish people over the Shavuot / Pentecost celebration.
Josie and I pray that this Shavuot / Pentecost will be the most 'annointed' you have ever experienced, and that the GOD of Israel will meet with you, and refill you in a very special and powerful way with His Ruach ha Kodesh - His Holy Spirit. Amen and Amen.

The LORD bless you as you bless Israel by standing in defense of her right to exist on all of the land given to the Jewish people by the GOD of Israel. Please pray that all of the Jewish people will return to Israel and turn back to their GOD and Messiah. Do not be silent, but share this with your fellow Christians, share it with your pastors, and with anyone you have a chance to speak to. Lets also pray for a breakthrough to the Muslims, and please remember to pray Divine protection for all of the soldiers in the IDF. Please continue to pray for Jews and Christians to be given full access to the Temple Mount.

Isaiah 62 is a central focus these days leading up to Pentecost. " For Zion's sake I will not hold My peace, And for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest Until her righteousness goes forth as brightness , And her salvation as a lamp that burns. " Isaiah 62:1

" I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night, You who make mention of the LORD, do not keep silent, And give Him no rest till He establishes And till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth." Isaiah 62: 6-7

Our suggestion is that you also consider including in your prayer time each day a time of reflection and repentance for one or more key incidents, among the hundreds of such incidents, going back to the early church, where "Christians" terrorized or killed Jews.

Please email me, pastorjeff@repentday.com, and I'll send you the list of 160 or more such horrific acts by "Christians." The list ends in the year 2003 and needs to be updated.
